WM to EWM migration
Moving from classic Warehouse Management to SAP EWM — embedded in S/4HANA or as a decentralized EWM deployment — is as much a process redesign as a technical migration. Stock Room Management vs. SAP EWM for production supply
Stock Room Management is an S/4HANA option that preserves selected LE-WM capabilities for suitable warehouse scenarios — it is a distinct option from SAP EWM, not a variant of it, and does not run on the EWM execution engine. For manufacturing environments, we help decide between Stock Room Management and full SAP EWM based on warehouse complexity, automation needs, integration requirements and migration constraints — implementing whichever fits the actual production supply and shopfloor consumption process.
Automation and MFS integration
Where the warehouse includes conveyors, sorters, AMRs or AGVs, we design the connection between EWM and the automation layer — using EWM's Material Flow System where the equipment and protocol set fit that model, or an intermediate WCS/middleware layer where they don't.
